摘要：The optical fibre ring resonator (18), in which acoustic waves are stimulated bypumping lasers (12,14) in opposite directions, has a sequence of resonance frequenciesamong which adjacent frequencies differ by a free spectral region amounting to a fractionof the difference between the pump frequencies. The pumping is performed at resonantfrequencies of the ring, in which stimulated Brillouin scattering excites two Brillouin ringlasers in opposite directions. Feedback components are damped by a phase modulator(40) and diode optical isolators (42,44) giving, e.g. 65 dB reverse flux attenuation.
