NAIT全称叫北阿尔伯塔理工大学（North Alberta Institute of Technology)。位于加拿大西部阿尔伯塔省的省府，埃德蒙顿(Edmonton)。NAIT在加拿大的地位相当于麻省理工大学在美国的地位。这所学校以应用理工科见长，动力工程(Power Engineering)，石油工程(Petroleum Engineering)，航天，医学等专业有很高的地位。本人在此校毕业，读的是石油工程专业，同学们基本在毕业前就找到工作，实习阶段的工资是25加币一个小时，正式工作后三千至一万多加币每个月不等，可见其学生在社会上受欢迎的程度（加拿大人均收入2000加币一个月）。
加拿大每个省都有一个理工大学，阿尔伯塔省的这个理工大学排名第一。这跟阿省是经济强省有关，此省盛产石油，工业相当发达，是加拿大人均收入最高的区域。
但学校所在的埃德蒙顿市在阿省的北部，气温比较低，一年有半年的时间是冬天，纬度相当于中国的哈尔滨，当然，室内是很舒服的，只是冬天早上开车比较痛苦，要先热车十几二十分钟，然后拼命的铲雪才能上路走。学校在市中心，交通很方便，旁边是一个私人机场，所以这里也可以考飞机驾照。学校条件很不错，我现在这台电脑里没有学校的照片，你可以上GOOGLE地图去看实景，一模一样。工学院的食堂提供的食物还是种类很多的，你可以吃到世界各地的食物。房子租金我那时是七百左右，那是2008年。
这个城市也是一个古老的城市，规模在加拿大排第五，前几名分别是多伦多，温哥华，卡尔加利，蒙特利尔。
差不多这些了，你要是读这个学校的话，注意要早点申请，否则一下就报满了（它报的人最多，条件也最高），你就会被放到WAITING LIST里面，来年看能不能录取。还有什么问题可以发邮件问我：xiangsheen@yahoo.com
