5. A, B, and C（and前有逗号）的用法比A, B and C （and前没有逗号）普遍。另外，A, B, and C属于常用结构，A,B,C和A and B and C结构只在为了加强口语势气才出现，但是应尽量避免使用，如I keep a cat, a dog, a horse和I keep a cat and a dog and a horse；
6. Come and see me,Go and look at it等句子结构中，and表达的意思是“Come以see me做目的，Go以look at it 做目的”，不是并列关系存在，常出现在口语中。要注意的是这种结构只适用于现在时态和不定式里，不能用在过去时态、分词或动名词中。

7. and的有一种习惯用法： 这个时候and后面的动词基本属于将来时态，不过也有其他事态的用法。 还有些时候，and前只有名词，没有动词。

   Ask him again, and he will tell you.(=If you ask him again, he will tell you)
   句中Ask属于祈使语气。

   Hesitate,and the chance is gone.

   Another attempt, and success is assured.

8. and或and that有时指“而且”。

   My fan is a present from a friend, and (that) a recent present.

9. 用and连接的两个或两个以上的名词等，常因合成一个概念，而作单数看待。

   Going to bed early and getting up early is a good habit.

10. and/or指“and或or”，如A and/or B = A and B, or A or B。常用在表格和商业文件里，也可用A or B or both来替换。A and/or B后接的动词可用单数，也可用复数，分别表达不同的意思。

11. 在有些句子中，and可以省略使用。

    There were few people who had not heard of the practical eccentric,purposeful joker,(and)fabulous showman.
    There is always the delicate music with its sug-gestions of passion, alarm,(and)tragedy.

12. 注意and的错误用法，有时候在没有联系的两者之间错误使用了and。

    He plays good cricket, likes golf and a rubber of bridge.
    该句中，golf and a rubber of bridge属于有关联的，但是和cricket则搭不上关系，因此，可以把and用在golf和rubber of bridge之间，但不要和cricket连用。
